Lime and Ginger Cheesecake
Channeling some tropical inspiration (which is much needed as it has been a grey old week) I have looked to the fresh flavours of lime and ginger. This is such a tasty cheesecake and has stood the test of time. I first started making a version of this when I was a teenager, for whenever we would have a family dinner party, it is the perfect thing to finish a meal with. Summer Pudding for Summer Solstice
Excitingly this week, , the blog turns one! For the past 52 Fridays, I have been sharing seasonally inspired recipes that I have loved making. I wanted to mark the occasion with a dessert, specifically - a summer pudding. We also saw the arrival of Summer Solstice, our longest day in the Northern Hemisphere. The main factor in determining the texture outcome is the length of time in the oven - the longer they are in, the crunchier they become. So if yo

Summer Berries and Pavlovas

Joggers out for a run early in the morning before the heat of the day kicks in, holiday makers wandering along the promenade with ice creams in hand, BBQ’s on the beach and the British berries arriving in the green grocers and supermarkets. One of the many excellent qualities of a pavlova is it’s lightness. In this heat, after an evening meal, I crave something f
